The following is an example of a decently executed semi bluff.......

Ok there's the background, i'm only really in the hand cos i'm on the bb....
*** FLOP ***
vacationfund: checks
RiverBaby!: checks
ThomasToget: bets 150
vacationfund: folds
RiverBaby!: calls 150
Ok nice flop, top pair but my kicker sucks bad, If he has a K i'm beat, but there are 2 hearts on the board, hrmmm .....
*** TURN ***
RiverBaby!: checks
ThomasToget: bets 300
RiverBaby!: calls 300
ok he leads out again, i'm fairly certain he has Kx, i think if he was on a flush draw he may have taken a free card at this point. there is also a potential straight draw on the board, but would he be betting out with 7T? no. he wouldn't! .........
*** RIVER ***
Boom! and there's my heart, I make my hypothetical flush draw. I pause for a second to give him time to consider what just happened and then fire out a just under the pot sized bet.
He immediately see's that i made my flush and folds.
RiverBaby!: bets 850
ThomasToget: folds
RiverBaby! collected 1050 from pot
RiverBaby!: doesn't show hand
Of course, he ould have had a pair of 8's or 6's ? but i'm thinking a K.
Thanks to Daniel Negreanu for this play, thanks also to whoever it was posted the link to that particular article, and thanks also to ThomasToget, this would not have worked if he was not clever enough to realise when he was beaten.
