What do you prefer? Top pair already made or a staight draw? I ask cause I ran into this this weekend. I was playing QJo and paired my Q on the Flop. flop was 2s, 5h, Qd. bets come round to me and I raise 3xbb and I get two callers. turn comes 6s and I get called all in by one and then the other guy goes all in after I call. River comes Jack and two pair takes it over an A3 and A4. I felt that both guys were on straight draws and I had already made top pair on the board, so I felt comfortable calling them thinking that anything but a 3, 4, or an over card gives me the pot. Usually, I'm a lot more cautious with the straight draws out there but I felt good with that top pair as long as the draw was out there. So ther question is. What do you feel you win more with....draws or a smaller hand already made?

There's about 8 trillion variables we aren't discussing here.
Pot size? Stakes? Structure? Etc, etc, etc.
Heads up, NLHE? I'll take top pair, please.
Big multi-way no-fold em fixed limit pot? I'll take a nut flush draw any day of the week thanks.

I'm more of the 'School of Cloutier'. I don't like to play draws unless they are REALLY cheap.

Well I certainly wouldn't go all in with the draws those two idiots had. Gutshot straight draw? from two people in the same hand? I so want to play with you guys!

That's what I was thinking. That's some entirely weak play. Those chasers didn't have a hope or the odds to call it seems. I hope you knew them well to call with top pair and that kicker. I'm not sure of the situation so maybe it was a good call, but I'd be careful playing those kickers against more experienced players in a normal game.
