Sometimes I REALLY love this game! |

Okey dokey. I'm sitting down at a nice solid table..I believe I'm up about 5000 (I started with 10,000). I am playing some OK poker. Now, this chump comes down and after I see him play his first pot I know he is going to play like a maniac. Well, he somehow amasses a nice chip lead 30K or so and I look down at AJo. Now, this guy has been raising almost every pot about 600 or so, so I make--maybe a "gambling" move but I decide to limp re-raise all in. He bets about 800 or so (after I had limped in from early position) and I go all in over the top. He calls pretty fast.
The flop has two rags and a King, I am afraid of the king. The turn is a rag and the river is a four, I know I could lose but he shows the A4o and I am no doubt angry. I mean he got really lucky right? But I really calmed down fast, it's fake money but I still hate when I make a reasonable move and lose because of it.
I refill and play a couple of pots he hasn't raised and lose about 2000 in the process. So I am sitting down with 8000 when...I get pocket Aces in first position. This guy has recently reswitched gears from playing a little more conservative so I decide to limp raise again! He bets 1000 and I do not hesistate...He calls and I win the pot hands down! Everyone is happy b/c we all virtually hate him but I knew that if I could pick up a few hands I could take about all of his money. About 10 minutes later I pick up aces again. I limp in again, I mean what the hay right? And he bets 1000 again! I go all-in no hesitation and double up to 26k! The guy says nothing and everyone else is amazed I did the same thing with the same hand! (I believe he had A5s). I am smug and I throw a few taunts in but he says nothing. And then the poker gods must really be happy b/c they send me aces AGAIN! I...LIMP RERAISE ALL IN AGAIN, he calls and I win another pot! I laugh at him and taunt him big time after he shows his inferior 10 10! It was one of my greatest moments! (I left and he had 2k or so, but I really dealt some damage).

Hey man. Frist of all, nice work. You did what you what it took in the end. The only thing I can think is possibly you could have made a small raise the second or third time you saw A's(what luck on that huh) he sounds like the type to maybe have moved in on you and you could have trapped his ass into thinking whatever he had was good. Either way, he's still laying in bed right now cussing your name.lol cya

Yeah you are definitely right. I think I did take that move a little too far but this was play money obviously...so I knew he wouldn't care and he'd call with any type of hand nearly. Two tens for him were golden I'm sure. I knew he was nuts and you are right, a small raise would have done a great job too. I sorta tilted, I really wanted to bust him so I could make fun of him. Although, altogether, I made some amateur moves, it still worked! Amazing!

I understand what you're saying. If you think I was saying you made an amateur move you misunderstood what I meant. I was just saying when the cards are hitting like that you can't slow play them all. One of these days some guy is going to draw that flush that he had no business even having the chance to hit and pkt a's go sour real quick. I've read your posts and you're probably a better player than me but I just had to give my two cents. I rue the day when you're able to hit the tables, you're going to make alot of people mad. cya
