Not all KEMs created equal? |

Within the last month I bought my first set of KEMs. My understanding is that Blue Arrows are rare, so I got a "set" with a deck Red Arrows and a blue deck with a different design. I've noticed that the red deck is excellent, but the blue deck is different and flawed in many ways.
The blue deck's corners aren't as round as the red deck's, and the printing is often off-center, and the backs are sometimes even crooked. The printing is inconsistant, some cards have different shades of red, and the plastic material is "scratchier" than the red deck.
Has anyone else encountered this?

Okay, apparently no one else has encountered this. I contacted the vendor, since I considered the deck flawed. They sent me a replacement deck, so kudos to them! It was like the original deck I got was made of a different material than all other KEMs I've felt. Weird.

It seems others have had problems with Kems purchased on Ebay.
Here is a thread from another forum

You didn't say where you purchased yours, but glad the vendor sent you a replacement

Thanks for pointing out that thread. I didn't want to mention the vendor right away, before I fully made an effort to contact them. I got the poker-width set from Rochester Chess Center (http://www.chessset.com). They were a class act.
I've also purchased two bridge-width decks on eBay from cardsbykem, and they were also a pleasure to do business with.
