Did you know that participating in a poker forum can help you improve your own game? Be it by sharing experiences or simply asking for help, participation in a forum helps you focus and keep 'on topic' which will help you improve your game. You can learn from other players feedback and from their experiences. Why the THP poker forums? We offer one of the best managed texas holdem poker forums available, and the community within is far more friendly than those typicaly found on other sites. We've made a 'lurkers edition' of the poker forum available here on Holdem Poker Online, but we encourage all visitors to register and join in on the conversations on TexasHoldem-Poker.com

I'm pretty sure Greektown in Detroit had one over the summer, but I haven't heard of anything else scheduled right now.

Where in MI are you? I am in Grand Rapids. Greektown supposedly does but I've heard it is pricey to play there. The card room in Mt. Pleasant Soaring Eagle Casino is closed. I occasionally play in tourneys that either are hosted by myself or friends of mine. Let me know if you run across anything decent I might be interested.

I know you asked about tournaments, but you might be interested in playing regular casino hold'em (ring game) at the Indian casino in Manistee. I have found it to be a really great place to play and it would be hard to imagine any reasonably decent player losing money there--it would certainly be a terrific place to start playing non-tourney casino games if you've never tried that. A lot of casinos featuring hold'em will have a tournament once a week or so on a weekday, so you should call them and ask if you live anywhere close.
Good luck!
