What is the most accurate tell - Something you can really count on when you need to make a key read.
Did you know that participating in a poker forum can help you improve your own game? Be it by sharing experiences or simply asking for help, participation in a forum helps you focus and keep 'on topic' which will help you improve your game. You can learn from other players feedback and from their experiences. Why the THP poker forums? We offer one of the best managed texas holdem poker forums available, and the community within is far more friendly than those typicaly found on other sites. We've made a 'lurkers edition' of the poker forum available here on Holdem Poker Online, but we encourage all visitors to register and join in on the conversations on TexasHoldem-Poker.com

With the people i play with, Most of the time i asked them to smile. A forced smile is almost always a bluff. I dont think ive made the wrong laydown once trying this with the people i play with lol now who knows if i played with other people.

I have noticed that with weak players someone who has their hands on their cards, or if they are playing with their cards often has a monster. It makes sense because you naturally want to protect what is valuable to you, so you cover your cards with your hands.

The one I use the most is seeing people who already have their call/raise measured out before it is their turn to act. If they are that unconcerned about a raise, then they probably have a monster. ESPESIALLY if they go back to their stack to re-raise.

as an online player ive picked up on a lot of betting pattern tells ... a lot of players including one of my friends will usually bet the minimum or close to it when they're on a flush draw ... helps so you can raise em big and chase them away

I think the most accurate tell is when the opponent starts to openly weep ... this generally indicates they know they've been beaten.

Shaking hands. It's rare, but it's hard to fake, so when you see it, it's usually for real.

But would this fall under a bluff or a monster? I only shake once I'm involved with a monster hand...and it is not nearly as bad anymore. When I first started playing, it was horrible. With some experience under my belt, it is hardly noticeable now.

My mate Greg puts his hand over his mouth after he’s checked his holecards and seen an Ace. It’s the only tell I’ve ever put above other factors of the game.

I find that when I go all-in and they instantly call it is a sign of strength.
Jokes aside, people got different tells. And the more you play with them, the more you pick up. But personally I place more confidence in finding their style of play. Maniacs you can call down with lesser hands, weak tights you can just shove out of pots. Stuff like that.

Oh wow oh wow oh wow! Don't tell me this is going to be a lead-in for some kind of spam offer for you to tell us. If so then this would officially be the KING of spam build-up's! I mean really!
4 months between throwing out the line and then checking to see if there are fish?
(I know it's probably not, but wouldn't that be a hoot?)

Over 10 posts is a lot for a spammer. I would have thought a joke was more likely...but I’m not sure why you wouldn’t put the punch line at the bottom of the same post.
