Caesar's Indiana Poker Room?

Posted Sat Oct 30, 2004 3:18 am GMT by Tilted92
Just had a friend call and say he wanted to go up for his 21st birthday in December. Do they have a poker room? If so what games do they spread?

Thanks

I see that not a soul piped up with info on So. Indiana casinos. I know there are some cardrooms down there somewhere--the one near Cincinatti for sure (near Madison?). I play in NW Indiana and we've got two up here. You'll just have to check the casino web pages out.

Whatever you do, don't bother calling and asking. Most of the people on the phone don't understand what you mean when you say "live poker." If you have to phone, ask for the poker room. If they don't have one that's all the info you need.

Thanks for the info, mindgame.

They do have a card room. On the weekends its open 24 hours. As long as people are there to play. During the week it is open something like 10am to 2am.

They have $5-10/$10-20 holdem and $1-5 stud for sure. Most of the time you will have to wait a bit for the $5-10 game but not to long. The play is on the loose side and the dealers are pretty good.

Good luck

Are you talking about Ceasar's? Where is it, exactly? How often do you play there? Never any bigger games? 5/10 is tops?

I also read (somewhere) that Grand Vic in Rising Sun has just opened up some poker tables. No real details but it might be worth a web search to find their site and/or make a phone call.

Ceasars is west of Louisville, KY and in Indiana of course.

Take I-64 just about to the Kentucky line (don't cross over into KY). Take the last exit before Kentucky and look for and follow the riverboat signs.

I just can't remember the name of that town right now.

They say the mind is the second thing to go and I can't remember the first.

Mindagme, Yes I was talking about Caesar's.

Steve the little town is Elizabeth..

The directions on their site say......

Take I-64 west of Louisville to exit 123 in New Albany, IN. Turn right at the bottom of the ramp. Pass through 2 stop lights. At the stop sign turn right (south) on Main St. (Indiana State Road 111). Indiana SR 111 will split to a "Y." At the split bear left and proceed across the railroad crossing. Caesars Indiana Resort is approximately 8 miles ahead.

But from Indy I just go down I65 south to 265 go west to 111 go south to the boat. About 3 to 3 1/2hr depending on "traffic flow".

I have not played during the week so can't comment on it but the weekends....

They have 12 tables and yes there is a $20-40 table most of the time Mindgame. They are all full between 6ish pm-1ish am. By 3am they have maybe 3-4 tables going depending on the crowd. The limits around this time are usually $5-10/10-20. I have not seen the stud game open past 1am.

They have the self serve soft drink machine right by the room and the bathroom is just a few steps away.

The crowd/players seem to be more blue collar and most are just "learning the game". But I have noticed that there are (like everywhere else) 6-8 players that are always there and "always big stacked".

Good luck,

ZZZ
