Getting tickets for the WSOP

my brothers marrying a girl from the good ol U S of A next June - June 5th to be precise, in Michigan.

Luckily for my gambling ass its the same day the WSOP starts so im hoping to leave 3 days after it and fly to vegas (the heaven of any part time gambler!!!).

Cant wait for it.

Has anyone bought tickets for the world series before - can you do it online?

any help would be greatly appreciated

im not sure - i just assumed that tickets would be allocated - otherwise the place would be crowded as hell

I guess I'd poke around harrahs.com, try to find a 'contact us' link, and ask them.

If you find anything out, lettuce know. Might be others that are interested in what (if anything) needs to be done to attend.

Seats (at least this past year) were free. Crowded is putting it mildly! Get there when the doors open and don't leave unless of course you have someone to watch your space. Quite frankly watching live is not as entertaining as watching it on TV, although the excitement in the air is intense. I personally did not even go to the room the day of the final table as it was waaaay to crowded for me on the first day let alone the last.

All I can say is go to Vegas and have fun maybe even take a shot at some satalites unless of course you can afford the buy-in. There is nothing like the electricity and experiance of the WSOP for any poker player evn as an observer. On the other hand there is nothing worse than getting knocked out of the main event for a poker player.
