was playing in a $10 pokerstars sng recently, on the 4th or 5th hand picked up 8s utg, raised to 60 sb and bb called, flop of 10 8 2 rainbow, checked around, turn K, checked to me i bet 120, both call, river 4 - no flush or str8 possible. sb bets 60, bb raises 250 and i reraise to 600, both flat call.
sb had made a set of 10s, bb a set of 2s and myself the 8s. was wondering if anyone knew the odds of 3 people hitting sets on the flop, and has anyone ever seen 4 people or even 5 hit sets? that would be crazy.

Been there 2x. Once I had 22, flop was T72. Lucky bastard with 77 made 4 of a kind.
Another I had KK and flop was K54. Took a pretty good sized pot.
Probability given that you all have pocket pairs is.... (2c1)^3/46c3.

I was in a crazy hand, that could have been crazier. I have 2 2 in 3rd position, raise 4x big blind. Guy right after me calls, and SB calls.
Flop comes Q 4 7 rainbow. SB, who is the TIGHTEST player ever leads out with a decent sized bet, about 5x big blind. I know I am easily beat so I fold. Other guy calls.
Turn 2. Now I am kicking myself, but know I made the right lay down originally. SB bets, call.
River 2. Ouch. So there is a bet, raise, all in, call. SB shows Q Q, other guy shows 4 4. I would have tripled up if I made a horrible call!
