Bullets (as in gunpowder, lead, brass, ,primer.....not pocket Aces) can easily be made at home using a press. You can manufacture your own bullets.....
So why cant' there be a home press designed to manufacture your own chips? You simply need to make the mold once....order the blanks/slugs from some clay company...order your own specific colors for single/multi-colored edge spots from the clay company....and press press press your way to your own custom chips?? Yes, i'm familiar with the fact that you need a certain PSI to mold the chips, but using levers, weights, elbow grease, maybe even an electric motor, or eating spinnach, this can probably be done w/o too much trouble
Have it come with an inlay kit, so all i'd have to do is produce my on graphic to print/have printed on the linlay. Then if buds want some of their own...you simply charge them a fee..and 5-5...er PRESTO, you're done.

I can't remember exactly where I found this info. but here you are... True clay chips use compression molding. The pressure is from 75-125 tons of pressure along with 300 deg to cure the clay. I used to work with 200 and 400 ton machines that cost around $250K used, and were about the size of a small house. I have spent many a late night looking on the internet to find info to start my own chip business on the side. I am not in a position to accept that kind of financial risk. I'm not giving up...yet... I will try to find the websight again and post.
