I don't think I am intentionally spamming, and am aware of the consequences!!!
Has anyone heard of or used this software...? It is an odds calculator available at www.calculatem.com
The basic premise is that it runs whilst you are playing and gives you logical decisions for you to completely ignore!
Is anyone using this, or something similar and are there any opinions on it as an online aid?
Obviously I don't want to purchase it without a third party assessment, or alternative that offers a free trial!!!
Any thoughts gladly appreciated!
Did you know that participating in a poker forum can help you improve your own game? Be it by sharing experiences or simply asking for help, participation in a forum helps you focus and keep 'on topic' which will help you improve your game. You can learn from other players feedback and from their experiences. Why the THP poker forums? We offer one of the best managed texas holdem poker forums available, and the community within is far more friendly than those typicaly found on other sites. We've made a 'lurkers edition' of the poker forum available here on Holdem Poker Online, but we encourage all visitors to register and join in on the conversations on TexasHoldem-Poker.com

i saw that, too, and tried to find a cracked version. couldn't get anything to actually work with pokerroom.com yet, but it's an interesting idea. would be nice to have, but i'm not going to pay $40 until i know about it.

I started using it when I 1st started playing Online. It helped me a great deal being the noob at Holdem that I was. Now I dont really need it to make to right calls at the right times. Great for people learning I think. I still use it mainly for instant Outs and to see folded hands.

A guy keeps spamming for that here. It doesn't look very professional to me...when i look at a program and think "I could do better" it's a trouble sign. . . hmm...there is a copy of visual studio three inches from my hand...

Has anyone every been banned for using a program like www.calculatum.com? I've been told poker rooms don't like it when software reads the card information. I haven't seen any information about it on calculatum but I have seen sites like www.texastoolbar.com advertise that they DON'T auto read information. Any idea's?

I don't know that they'd be able to tell, if you programmed the thing right.

So a programmer would be able to make a "Poker Bot" to play without the poker room knowing that it's not a human playing the hands but a software program?

yes, there is a few of them out there, but are usually found out fairly quickly (by the players more) and once you know how it works you can beat it fairly easily.
There was a fairly recent discussion on a specific bot on party poker sng's that's basic premise was fold or push, and it did okay, but once you know that easy to beat, min-raise, fold if it pushes (or call if you have a good hand that you think will win)
but I'm sure there are more, and some probably not so easy to find out.

The attempts made so far to make a computer play poker without "cheating" by looking at the human player's cards have been highly mediocre.
