How to setup a 2 table tournament?

Posted Thu Nov 04, 2004 5:55 pm GMT by Rayburn
We have about 10 - 16 poeple, 2 tables, 1000 chips.

How can I do this in a way that winners move on, losers play each other?

Does that make sense? Shocked

It makes sense but that's not the way to do it. If you have more than ten people split the tables in half until you are down to ten and then consolidate. Try to put the people as close as you can to where they were in regards to the button. As you said before, they are all new to an actually structured game so keep everything the same from here on out and you shouldn't have any, or many, complaints. Check out homepokertourney.com by the way. ALOT of great info on everything from blinds to seating. And print out a copy of Robert's Rules from that site and make sure everyone is cool with rules. I don't care how close you think you are with these people, once money is involved it can, and will, get ugly.

Yup. And once you make the final table up, the losers can play side games at the open table.
