In this one the Big slick takes it. due to the fact that the Ace will play.

let me further that statment.

Both players have two pair. the four no long is valid in Player A's hand due to the fact there is a pair of nines. the biggest card that plays for Player A is the seven. so his hand look like KK997

Player B has the big slick with the Ace and king so his hand looks like this KK99A

now compairing both hands the man with big slick wins due to the higher Kicker. if both player had a card lower then 7 they would both win. but since Player B had an ace. he takes the pot.

well, maybe not ALL important, but a strong kicker sure can improve your chances. Wink

You have just illustrated the interesting, and infinitely frustrating concept of "counterfeiting."

In this situation, AK wins, K4 loses, K4 bitches about getting sucked out on, AK tells him that's why he shouldn't be playing trash hands, K4 gets pissy, slams the table, and tilts away the rest of his bankroll.
