The complete first season of the wpt came out on DVD two or three months ago, but it costs something like $180. That's pretty steep for something that plays for free twice a week.

A lot of people like the movie Maverick, but they don't play poker that way anymore and I doubt they ever did. A movie called Stuey was shown at the last Cannes Film Festival that's based on Stu Unger's life story; I heard it's still looking for a distrbutor. I know their are some other older poker movies I hear people talking about around the cardroom, but I can't remember their names.

Something to note-watching the pros on TV is great, but you only see the hands that are flopped or considered interesting by editors. If you want a real (free) 1 hour education, watch a large multitable tournament when it gets down to 20-30 players. When the stakes are high-the play certainly changes!

yeah, I've seen it on the travel channel where they only show
big, or important hands. I'd like to see the entire thing, better
yet, be there. That box set sounds cool.
