There was slow time at work and this guy I normally play was already done shuffling the deck when I walked in the room and we started playing a hand. The first hand flop was Kc Qc 10c, turn was 9, river was a 9. I had quad 9's and bet a bunch and then he called and flipped over Royal Flush. Anyone else suspicious?
Did you know that participating in a poker forum can help you improve your own game? Be it by sharing experiences or simply asking for help, participation in a forum helps you focus and keep 'on topic' which will help you improve your game. You can learn from other players feedback and from their experiences. Why the THP poker forums? We offer one of the best managed texas holdem poker forums available, and the community within is far more friendly than those typicaly found on other sites. We've made a 'lurkers edition' of the poker forum available here on Holdem Poker Online, but we encourage all visitors to register and join in on the conversations on TexasHoldem-Poker.com

"Trust everyone, but always cut the cards" - some crappy movie, Round-something.
Yeah I think you were suckered, not much to be done now though. If he doesn't fess up and give you your money back at least you know what kinda shitbag you're dealing with.

You are welcome to come and play at my home game whenever you like. We need more trusting people in the poker community.
I would offer him the same deal on a game of russian roulette. Tell him that you just loaded the bullet and it is his go first, or can you have your money back... If he hesitates, just shoot him!

Was it heads up? If not, how many people were in the hand?
Reason I ask, if I'm holding 99 and the board comes out KQT of clubs, there's a good chance I wouldn't even be in the hand anymore to see the turn card.

It was heads up and we were just playing for fun until the whole hand was dealt and he said he wanted to bet on the hand and of course I agreed and there was only one hand he could have had to beat and he had it. I was a little shook up after wards knowing that I could have lost a lot more than what I did but I will get my revenge and just come back playing solid poker.

With THAT description I think he suckered you. My advice? Never play with them again.

My advice is play with him two or three days in a row, then hide a camera in the break room and have your IT guy post a video of him stacking the deck on your company's website.

I hope this guy is not your friend. That is clearly cheating and stealing your money.
