I am looking into a new chip set. I want 500 chips. Middle of the road chips not crapy but not 500 dollars. I was thinking about the edgespot 8000 chips or the pro clay 13g chips. I also really like the nevada jacks composite little expensive. Any suggestions welcome

5stardeal.com has 25 percent off so you can get the nevada jacks for about $300

A bought 2000 Nexgen Las Vegas edge spot chips from 5star about 2 weeks ago off ebay for 149.99 per set of 1000. Hell of a deal for a chip of this quality. It's not clay and its not supposed to be. I love the looks of them over any middle of the road chips out there. If you want a good chip at a low price I reccomend them for sure.
But the 5star deal Nevada Jacks is a hell of a deal as well for a great lookin and quality chip.

I purchased 1000 nexgen 8000's last week from 5stardeal and i love them. Edge spots were a must for me and they delivered. Also they have a recessed 1" center perfect for custom labels, which i got on ebay. Definately a good chip for the money. About the nevada jacks composite, they look great but read pokerchipreviews.com because there have been some issues with them stratching easily.

I've got samples of the 13g Pro Clay Casino chips. I liked the look and feel initially, but they scuff easily and the clay can be easily peeled off with a finger nail. DO not recommend them.

Boy... a lot going on with those chips! A little busy for me. I'm sure they're just like all the rest of the 11.5g composites.

I was sent a manufacturer's sample of those chips (the busy ones - I agree). They are along the same lines as the royal flush chips, high roller chips, 4-aces chips. Same chip - different printed image.

Julea,
I bought some foil stamped denom chips from spinettis. After about 10 games, the denoms wore off. Do you think the "busy" chips will wear as well? Or, do they actually have molded centers?
thanks

All Chinese-made chips vary in quality (although they look the same, they come from different factories) The ones I was sent are very good. I'm scratching the heck out of one right now with my nail and it's not doing anything to the chip. The image is printed on the chip when it is first made, not aftermarket like the foil hot-stamping, so it's actually part of the chip. Although I'm not sure what you mean by molded center, you definitely shouldn't have to worry about the image wearing off.
