First of all, this is not SPAM.
Ok, now that I got that out of the way, I'd like to let everyone know about my experience with holdempokerchips.com.
I finally decided to sack up and get a GOOD set of poker chips. I did a lot of research before deciding on what to buy. Much of that research was from here, pokerchipreviews.com, and some local friends. I was working with a budget of about $700. I knew I wanted 1000 chips - and was just not able to find anything to suit my needs. Then I saw that holdempokerchips.com had the Mardi Gras chips on special - $299 for 500 chips! Awesome price for a good quality chip IMO! I quickly looked into this deal.
I sent a private message to MSPatton (who runs HPC.com) and within minutes received a reply. I had a few questions/concerns, and he was very eager to answer all of my questions promptly and thouroughly. After a couple days of chatting with him, I decided to pull the trigger on a 1000 pc set.
I let him know of my intentions on Saturday - ordered my set on Sunday, and it arrived at its destination on Wednesday. The shipping costs were minimal, and it was shipped via UPS. The chips and cases were packaged very well, and there were no issues with the product. I about pissed myself from excitement when it got here! The chips are more beautiful in person than any photo can represent.
I have done a LOT of online transactions in my time - personal stuff, xmas/b-day gifts, ebay, private deals, etc... and as anyone can tell you, buying things online can be quite challenging. Poor communication - late shipment - out of stock items, and other unknowns can cause delays in when you buy stuff. I experienced NONE of these issues with HPC.
In an age where online transactions are more and more common, it is very refreshing to deal with an online vendor, and have such great communication, service, and customer focus. If you are looking for poker supplies, I would highly encourage you to take a few minutes to check out www.holdempokerchips.com - I am extremely satisfied with the service they provided me and will definately do biz with them in the future.
Cheers to you, MSPatton - keep up the great work!

When I first got the set, the chips were very textured and were a bitch to shuffle. however, when you use them for a little bit, they seem to smooth out a little - can't really describe it - but they are ez to shuffle now, and as you use them, the colors stand out more boldly.

As promised, here are some pix of the chips I pickedup. In typical Moddy fashion, all images are clickable. Sorry for the poor pic quality - the lighting was pretty bad. Also, the single chip pix are pretty big (2240x1680) so don't be surprised @ the lack of focus LOL

I love 'em. Can't wait to get the smaller denoms for live play!

Very nice!! Now that's worth something :D
Look much better up close & personal... never had a good look at the edge spots before. Cases are cool too. I Can't decide between two 500's or one 750 & leave the others in one of the travel cases... I think SWMBO would probably prefer only one case out and I haven't seen a 1000 chip case that compares to the ones you have or the 750. Got a few weeks to decide before my chips arrive
Is that a dealer button... looks like a brass disc?
Thanks for posting,
Fins

Yeah, that's a dealer button that a machinist buddy of mine made for me. Just something simple - it's pretty heavy, and tho not very fancy, it sure does the job

Great pix. Boy, you can really see the texture.

Those mardi gras chips look cool. Are the designs a sticker or actually printed on the chips?

Does anybody have any idea who actually makes the Mardi Gras chips? I assume it's the same manufacturer as the Nevada Jacks ceramics. They seem, obviously, like ChipCos but I don't think they are.
