Worst beat I ever saw!!!! READ

Posted Fri Nov 19, 2004 11:43 am GMT by DeathBerad
luckily I didn't have the pleasure of experiencing this myself but here is how is went down.... flop comes diamond club club ... 2 players in the pot both with a flush draw... one with the ace... turn comes club so they both made there flush ... ace high flush goes all in and other flush calls they flip up and ace high flush is pretty happy because he knows he is virtually guaranteed the win... but wait! the lesser of the two hands is on an inside straight flush draw... so he has one out .... and wouldn't you know it he hits it on the river..... If there is a worse beat than that I would like to hear about it.....

Heres one i saw on 5-10 NL on pokerroom.

Raised and reraised preflop. Flop AK6, raise, reraise, call. Turn 4. Raise, all-in, call. River was a K. You guessed it, aces full of kings against 4 kings. 1400 dollar pot. Just glad I didn't have the rockets!

Hitting one card of the remaining deck is savage but hitting RUNNING cards is way worse. There is a WPT episode where Hoyt Corkins hits the last two 7s in the pack on the turn AND river to win the only way possible against the hand Phil Hellmuth held. That is just under 800 to 1 to happen Shocked

True Geno, but a bet on the turn would have won Phil the pot. He let Corkins take it. If you listen carefully after the hand is over, Hoyt even says "You could ahve taken it on the turn." Boy was Phil steaming, I love seeing him get all riled up :D (not cause I dislike him or anything, it's just entertaining)

I wasn't really thinking of runners but that is true if it is heads up and someone is all in.. otherwise it is probably one persons or the others fault for not betting strong enough ....seriously though I am glad it happened to phil helmuth because I hate that bastard...

My "worst" ever bad beat...and I have had one outers on me a few times....

Was a flop of AKx
I kad AK and trap checked my opponent who had AQ, he went allin (classic internet style lol) so I call and we are both all in.
He has no flush possibility whatsoever...

Turn Jack
River Ten.

Bit of a longshot!

I put the worst in inverted commas cos even though it was horrible, I didn't have a problem with the other player move. I have had horrible beats combined with stupid play which hurt more.
Even though in the cold light of day you know these guys provide the money for us average players.
At the time you are spitting a few choice words lol.

He went allin with JJ on turn after I slowplayed AJ after A hit flop.
Last J hit river...wheyhey
This happened virtually str8 after my last post about bad beats....poker is uncanny.
