Seattle Poker

Shocked
For you non-smokers out there, which poker room in the Seattle area do you think is the LEAST SMOKEY? The 2 lonely, overworked smokeaters at Kenmore Lanes just aren't enough to filter the air and my lungs need to find somewhere new. Any help

Do the hideaway! Small place but good ventilation and not full of smokers, and the smokers there are respectfull of others as well. Its stiff competition there too if you paly 10-20. The 4-8 games see there share of wild wins, but what 4-8 game doesnt? You could also Try muckleshoot, not a very nice place but its swimming with fish and since its much larger and is a casino it has very good ventilation. Sounds like your up north though so if you want the ultimate goto Tulalip, exit 202 of I-5. Brand new place, Huge on the inside and top quality poekr room. Those are my 3 spots anyway, but the hideaway is by far the closest.

For us non-smokers out there, I was just at the Tulalip Casino in Marysville and they had a sign posted stating that the Poker Room will be smoke free starting December 20th. It's a good hour from Seattle, but is definitely worth the drive once-in-awhile.

You're in the wrong place altogether is all. Fly into Chicago and play at Harrah's. NO SMOKING at all in the poker room. It's allowed everywhere else in the casino. Go figure.

That's funny about Harrah's Chicago-i was just in Vegas for 4 days and it's the same way in every casino i found. You could smoke anywhere and everywhere, except the poker rooms-weird. thanks for the feedback.

Now this is really funny. In Nova Scotia Canada (Where I'm from) we have huge smoking bylaws (can't even smoke within 4 meters of a building) but in the casino which is government owned, the only place you can smoke is in the poker room. So pretty much the only public place where you can smoke in all of Nova Scotia is in the Poker room at the casino!

Hate to pull a thread revival, but could some of you Seattle guys fill me in on the lay of the land there? Is poker legal in Washington, or is this Indian Gaming, or . . . ?

As far as I know, poker's been legal in Washington for years. Seattle does not allow casinos or cardrooms within the city limits, but the adjacent cities like Shoreline, Tukwila and Renton have plenty of small casinos. The casinos are not allowed to have slot or video poker machines, but they are allowed table games (poker, blackjack, spanish 21, pai gow)
There are also plenty of Indian Reservations up here, and they of course can have anything they want within the Reservation boundaries-slots, video poker, craps and all the other classic Vegas games.
If you're looking for a decent poker game with some character, head to the suburbs. If you're looking for Vegas style action, head to the Res.

Good luck! Rolling Eyes
