So lets say, hypothetically, that:
Player A has - Ace, 3
Player B has - Ace, 9
Community cards are... K J 2 10 4
Is a hand decided past the first kicker? Because I was under the impression you only go to the first kicker, which in this case is a K which they share, thus splitting the pot. Or, does it go all the way down, so:
Player A has A K J 10 4
while
Player B has A K J 10 9
Thus making B the winner. Is that how it works? Sorry if this is newbish

Best 5 cards, so player B win.
You flipped around the starting hands versus the results-9 plays, A9 starting hand wins.

It's also important to remember that ONLY the best 5 cards play.
Player 1: A6
Player 2: A2
Board: K-J-T-8-7
In this case, eventhough Player 1's kicker is higher than Player 2's, the pot is SPLIT since both have the same hand, A-K-J-T-8. This is something that can get very confusing sometimes like in a situation like this...
Player 1: 55
Player 2: 72
Board: A-T-T-3-A
In this case, eventhough player 1 has a PAIR as his hole cards, Player 2 still wins because he has Aces and 10s with a 7, while Player 1 had Aces and Tens with only a five. (Yes, I know this scenerio is retarded...).
