Here's the deal: My husband's company (not poker related) wants to have poker chips made with their logo on it to use as business cards. I don't have too much experience with custom chips but I have steered them towards either pokerchips.com or homepokerchips.com. Any suggestions as to which place might better serve their purpose? They just need the logo to look good and crisp, and for the colors in the chip to match the colors of all of their other marketing tools. Thanks for any suggestions!/code

I was at a baseball game this summer where they used customized Chipcos as giftcerificates. The finished result was VERY nice.

Ha ha, the 1st reply already has me confused (no big shocker). Is that a vote for neither of the 2 companies above? I should also mention that the chips are needed by the end of April, so any of the places I've heard about with a wait time of 4-6 months is out.

I believe that MasterShake's post implied that the Custom Chipco's he saw were nice and would go with Chipco.
I have samples from PokerChips.com and TRKing.com. These chips are very similar and if I am not mistaken will both do what you need to be done. If I was forced to choose between the two based on my samples, I would probably go with TRking.
There has also been talk on the board recently of custom Nevada Jacks chips. These ceramic chips have a nice feel so maybe you would also want to look into them.
Hope this helps, good luck....Don't forget pictures when they arrive!!

homepokerchips.com are CHIPCo chips. So his response does help you out a bit.
Now for my $0.02:
Chipcos have more color variation, a larger 'canvas' face to paint, and can make some very very pretty and colorful chips. For advertising a company, i think Chipco chips is the way to go. Chipcos are a ceramic composite material. Pokerchips.com use clay chips with a relatively small inlay. The clay chips have a very limited number of colors to chose from.

I've never dealt with HomePokerChips by the way, and don't have samples so cant help there.

I vote for Homepokerchips.com
...for the reasons MasterShake pointed out, mainly space. But also you could put your phone no. on the edges. Plus you'll definitely get them quicker... the wait at pokerchips.com is atroucious. I think the real decision is whether your husband prefers pokerchips.com "clay" or the homepokerchips.com chipco style... call for samples or in hompokerchips.com you can send them a letter and Dave will send you a sample free... see the pdf file on the website.
You could also post a pic of the logo & what info you want to include which might sway some folks.
In any case I'd get several colors so you could keep some to use as your own set.
Good luck,
Fins

Ok, got it. I kinda thought but I didn't want to assume too much. Very helpful info, thanks. The most important aspects are the color scheme and also, the larger the inlay area, the better. Homepokerchips.com is looking pretty good.
