Atlantic City

Posted Mon Nov 22, 2004 6:20 pm GMT by jimmyhank
I'm probably heading to atlantic city this week. Where is a good place to play some 2/4, 3/6 or 4/8?

I did a search and it looks like the taj might be the place to go. Anyone have any other suggestions?

Also, what is up with them charging a per hour fee? do all casinos in AC do this in their poker rooms?

Thanks.

I prefer the Trop. They don't charge any sort of per hour fee. If you have frequent players card they scan it ever hour. There are all sorts of poker games there and limits. You might even run into me or Sean.

i think i may be there on friday.. whats the wait like at the trop?

Depends. I've never waited longer than 5 minutes for a table at 9p.m. on a weekend. Now if there is a specific game you want to play then it might be more. But most times it's pretty quick if there is any at all. Now the tourneys... That's a different story.

I'll be down at least one night this weekend. Probably two.

Likewise, I've never had to wait long for a $4/$8 seat. Sometimes there can be a backlog for $6/$12 or the pink game, but I'll splash around at the lower limit while I wait for a seat.

But they do pre-register card holders playing in cash games before general registration opens. If you're gonna play in a tourney, I recommend you go that route. Hell, most of the time you can win your tourney buy-in while you wait. :D

Cool, thanks guys.
do they have 2/4 or 3/6 at the trop, or is 4/8 the lowest?

They've got plenty of $2/$4. I've never seen $3/$6 though.
