I've finally given up searching for the perfect chips for our ring game. I really like the NJ clays, but for $1.10 I might as well just buy authentic pualson chips from the casinos when i am in Vegas next time. Does anyone know if any casinos still use 25 or 50 cent chips. I would imagine some of the older casinos downtown still use them but i'm not for sure. Any advice would be helpful. Also if anyone has done this before, do the casinos let you just take their chips out the front door or do you have to "sneak" them out?
I figure this is the perfect set, because if in the near future a set comes out that i like, such as the new paulson line, i can cash my chips back in and get the use of them for free. Thanks in advance.

I think some of the small places in Reno still use them during the week, like the Bonanza for a .25 crap table. You could probably walk with them as long as you're discreet about it. They usually use plain hot stamped Paul-Sons (no spots). I got 100 .25's from Circus Circus that way about 25 years ago. Even back then, the H/Cs went for $35/100.

I can only tell you what I know about local casinos around here.
My casino: We have $.50 chips, but when we paid commision on Pai Gow we just used regular quarters if needed.
Indian Casino: Have no games where they need quarters but they actually pay Blackjacks in $.50 pieces. No in chips.

You could try the Boardwalk Casino in Vegas. I'm not sure about the chips but I do know that they have very low minimum table bets.
