I'm looking to get a 500 chip set, something that's going to be worthwhile but not breaking the bank. I had seen some sets at Poker 'n Stuff that I was considering to be a decent price ($125), but then found a website called SmartArea where they were even cheaper ($85 with only $5 shipping). Does anyone have any experience with that website or either of these chip sets?

These sets are an average price, and I'm hoping are of serviceable quality and feel. I was thinking about the Nevada Jacks Desert Sands, but I just got out of college and don't want to spend $349 right now on poker chips. I've also heard these 10g Faux Clay Dice Chips have excellent feel, but really would like edge spots.

Any advice on the above two sets or perhaps specific alternative sets from specific websites would be greatly appreciated.

Personally, I prefer the Vegas Pro Clays way over the 11.5 composites. They are plastic, but they have a feel much closer to a real casino chip than the 11.5s, and a much better sound as well. For the record, I currently own a set of the 11.5s, and I have grown to HATE the feel and sound of them...like fingernails on a chalkboard to me. My new chips should be here in the next couple days, so hopefully I have already used them for the last time. Yay!
