I have two questoins conserning Texas Holdem. When you reveal the flop, do you kill 1 or 2 cards before dealing the flop? Also, if two players have an equal hand, does it go to high card or split pot? Thanks for your help.

A single card is burned before the flop.
When two hands are the same then the pot is split, however hands are not the same if one has a higher kicker.
Example
Hand1: A K
Hand2: A 9
Board: A 5 J 7 Q
Hand1 = (A A) K Q J
Hand2 = (A A) Q J 9
Hand1 wins because they have a pair of Aces with a King kicker, hand2 only has a queen kicker.
