This is by far the worst set of chips i have ever seen.

^^^ Exactly what I was thinking, I think they're hilarious... I want the $500 one. They'll start showing up at liquidators real cheap pretty soon I think.

I'm sure the Poker Bitch had little if anything to do with the design of any of that. The deal probably went something like this:

I just noticed there only appears to be 10 each of the chips with his picture on them...if the quality is respectable and you could pick them up super-cheap, maybe you could just buy a set, burn the few Hellmuth chips in effigy, and have a decent 460-piece set left over?

...in fact I'm putting out a bounty. If you have or want that set I will pay $11 ($10 + $1 for a stamp and an envelope and maybe a couple pieces of cardboard) for just 1 of the $500 Hellmuth chips. Now seriously, the chips are said to be pretty decent as plastic chips go. I actually like the case, it's pretty sweet to have a case that holds the chips racked like that. I have a friend who has the book and swears by it (I thought it was OK, a little simplistic and self serving but what can you expect.) The vids should be good for a laugh if nothing else. And I'm giving you $10 off!
Anyone else want in? Nate? At $20 off someone's gotta bite for sure, it's on ebay for $130.

The worst thing about this set is the fact that you get 10 each of ridiculously high denomination chips that are utterly useless for tourney play.. How the hell are you going to put a $10,000 chip in play when you only have 10 5k chips, 10 1k chips, and 10 $500 chips?

Bleh... I say more power to him. These folks are scrambling to take advantage of this poker fad and make as much money as possible while it lasts. I'm sorry, but that box looks of the same quality as something that a big black dildo or a rubber Kobe Tai torso would come in.

If we can get the price down to $20 or under, I'M IN! We could split up the obnoxious Helmuth chips and then figure out a way to split the rest of the stuff up. Like Yahoo poker or something. The rest of the chips could be 1st pick, the case 2nd pick, then each of the books and dvd's.

Huh. That's an idea... would require 8 participants though, doubt that's going to happen... I guess up to 10 participants could get a full set of those stunning tributes to PH's ego though...
I was thinking more that if there was maybe just one person out there who really wanted this somewhat nice set of chips (I mean cmon, I'd take them over dice chips any day) $10 or more off might get them to pull the trigger and we'd get our card caps/mini dart boards/urinal targets etc. (see, they have 1001 uses!) out of the deal, everybody's happy.
