NJ Clays vs Archtypes PART II

Posted Thu Dec 09, 2004 3:12 pm GMT by breakbeat46
Anyways...

My order came in a day early and I am happy to say that I love my new chips.

PROS: 1. They are 1000% better than my old set. 2. The edge spots are really nice if you like mulit colored edge spots. 3. They stack really well compared to composite "dice" type chips.

CONS: 1. the chips are a bit dirty, looks like from storage in a warehouse, but i just dusted the dirt off. 2. (good/bad)The 1000 yellow chips seem to look "used" not really bright yellow like the picture on the website.

Damn!

Those are beautiful! I've been thinking of a while to get the NJ's. The few samples I have are nice, but I've been waiting to see what the new Paulsons are going to be like..

Where did you buy these from, and for what price (if I may ask)

thx!
Francis

Seems like the edge spots are a bit off center? Especially the one on the far left. As far as them being dirty, they will probably develop a nice shine as they get used.

The edge spots are on center, the center logo isnt aligned the same. the 1000 yelloow chips actually have a slight yellow edge spot next to the pink that is hard to see due to the "dirtyness" of the chip.

I got the 500 chip set from nevadajacks the price is listed there. Also it cost $60 to ship 2nd day air (the only method of shipping) from baltimore to honolulu.

THe dust is not because its old, its because its NEW! New chips have the "factory dust"

PC is right on the money about the dust. It just shows that you got very NEW chips. My set was the same way, and after some playing time and some of the old dirty, oily hands, the color stands out so much more.

Only problem some of you all have caused me........I keep wondering if I should have ordered the Martini's instead of the NJ. Just kidding! I also keep wondering if I like the 3 sets of edgespots or the 4 sets. Man, I never thought poker chips would cause my mind so many problems, lol.

I think the Martinis have better edge spots, the NJs are a little to "busy" for me. But nothing beats thier Nevada Dice mold.

A good way to see the color is to rub the chip on your forehead. Laughing
