I recently was looking at a hold em button set on some poker site. I saw one of the buttons said 'kill' on it. Can anyone tell me how this is used?
Did you know that participating in a poker forum can help you improve your own game? Be it by sharing experiences or simply asking for help, participation in a forum helps you focus and keep 'on topic' which will help you improve your game. You can learn from other players feedback and from their experiences. Why the THP poker forums? We offer one of the best managed texas holdem poker forums available, and the community within is far more friendly than those typicaly found on other sites. We've made a 'lurkers edition' of the poker forum available here on Holdem Poker Online, but we encourage all visitors to register and join in on the conversations on TexasHoldem-Poker.com

Generally in a kill game, after a player wins consecutive pots, he'll also win the kill button and have to place a blind bet equal to 2x the BB. I'm pretty sure the small and big bets are also doubled for that hand. I only played a kill game a couple of times on UB, so I'm sure the rules can vary wildly.

correct. if a player wins 2 pots in a row the game then becomes a kill pot UNTIL someone else wins the pot. the stakes are doubled AND the winner also posts a big blind. a 3/6 game would then be 6/12 untill someone else wins a pot.

There are also half kill and full kill games. A half kill means that the killer has to post 1.5x the BB and a full would be 2xBB like mentioned before.
