Just read this on Paul Philips web site, found it rather interesting.

Uhm... ok, so what really happened? That's a little confusing. I do agree that it didn't make sense, (Tony folding that hand.) I thought that when I watched it originally.

Supposedly it is just two separate hands spliced together to make on
awesome "bluff". I too thought that was screwed up when I saw it. I can't believe anyone makes that lay down , especially how phil was
"supposedly" acting in this hand.

Well, that makes a lot of sense. I thought at the time that was a horrible, horrible play by Tony D. Especially since Hellmuth was trying to act very strong, standing up, and actually trying to will Tony to muck his hand. Now, it appears that ESPN just did it to build a plot line about how Hellmuth tries to bully other players.
Bad ESPN. Bad, BAD, BAAAD ESPN. You go sit in the corner, now. I don't know if I can ever trust you again.

Just pulled out my DVD copy of the 2003 World Series to take a look at this -- very bad ESPN.
Right after Hellmuth re-raises Tony D, Tony takes one last look at this hole cards. Not only does Tony have chips in his right hand (which aren't there before or after the hole card cam), but in the background, you can clearly see the dealer dealing out cards (in slow motion of course).
Boo you, ESPN.

Could this conspiracy go as deep as Norman Chad? And if so, wtf.
