Im at my local casino cleaning up in the 5-10 game. I have won about 6 hundred (i think i posted about it but the post got deleted in the miss-hap we had). There is this bum looking guy who is really pissed that Im taking all his money. Then as I get up to leave this guy comes up to me. He asks "are you going down Colborne street?"
I say "no". Which is a lie but I dont want to tell this guy where Im going.
he says "do you think you could, and drop me off at The Holiday inn? Ill toss you 10 bucks."
I say "No thanks, nothing personal but I dont know you"
He keeps bugging me and bugging me to drive him to his hotel. When a cab ride would probably cost him less than 10 bucks. Or it would take him like 15 minutes to walk. Plus I came alone to the casino and its 2 in the morning and i have nearly a thousand dollars in my pocket including the money i came to the casino with.
I wasnt about to leave and have this guy follow me so I was hanging around in the smoking section till this guy would leave. After he bugs me for a while I keep firmly saying no. I eventually go to the pit boss and ask him if I can get an escort to my car because this creepy guy was really starting to freak me out. So two security guards walked me to my car and I quickly drove out of there.

Good move on the security. Seems that guy definitely wanted to mug you (if not worse). Lucky for you he was stupid about it. I'll definitely be checking my back when leaving any casino a winner from now on.

They have bad beat jackpot at Canterbury in MN that runs fairly large and gets hit about every 2 weeks. When it goes, the people getting 50% and 25% end up w/ $20-60k in cash. They frequently request escorts (I would too!).

I usually have to pay for my escorts with my poker winnings in vegas not get free escorts with my winnings.

Hey Bored..your local casino? Your city is Toronto and you mentioned Colborne street...I have to assume you mean Rama. I lived in Orillia for about 8 years when I was a kid, not far from Rama actually and my dad lives there now. Was wondering if the pit boss was my brother . PS if it was rama how is the poker room? I have been thinking about trying it.

I actually live just south of Toronto in Oakville. Just most people wont know where that is so I put Toronto. But the casino i go to is in Brantford, Brantford Charity Casino. about 45 minutes away. Its got a pretty good poker room. 12 tables. only limit though

cool maybe I will look that up some night after xmas when my girlfriend is up to something other than bingo. Shes a fairly decent card player. Yes know where Oakville is, spent my teens in Port Credit. Oakville, the place where the rich people lived , and Kim Mitchell too.

You must know where the Burloak Canoe Club is....and I know you've heard of Adam VanKoeverden....olympic sprint kayak champion who is from Oakville. well I used to live with him in Oakville.

nope dont know where that is, Im assuming its near the lake. And I dont know who that is.... Ive only lived here for like 2 years and I spend most of my time in Hamilton with my friends or Brantford at the casino.

Weird.
Well the canoe club is very close to the lake on the same river that Sharky's is on....just up about 100m or so and on the other side.
And Adam Vankoeverden is an Oakville native that won 2 olympic medals this summer. One Gold and one Bronze and was actually voted canadian athlete of the year by the sports writers association or something like that.
Oh well, Oakville is a great place except for being in the middle of Hamilton, Buffalo and Toronto makes for smog city population your lungs. Middle of summer its like breathing soup in Oakville.

I know where it is now. My brother worked at sharkys for a while.
