Since this Poker in Movies and TV section has been pretty dead lately, I thought I would inform you all in some good news. So this is my christmas present from me to you.
FINALLY, Finally, Finally, FinallyFinallyFinallyFinallyFinallyFinally..........
High Roller: the Stu Ungar story will be on CABLE! yes, you heard right, it will be shown first on cable before it is out on DVD!
If you are one of the people that has STARZ! or STARZ! HD, then you are in for a treat at the end of Jan. my friend. Here is a link of the showings on TV.

on that link you can click on the remind me thing, and they will send you an email reminder on when it comes on tv.
For those of you who don't have STARZ! and are awaiting to get it on DVD ( like me), you will have to wait until March 15th. that's the date that it will be released.

Cant wait. It will probably be available on the internet after it airs on cable. So if you dont have a problem downloading your movies you should be able to get it sooner than march 15th.

I'm going to for sure, buy the dvd. A.W. Vidmer, has worked hard on this movie and I think the buy earned his 20$ (for the dvd) for the movie he made.
We only have a couple good poker movies..... there's Rounders, and .......... well that's about it (for no limit texas hold em)
So I'm really looking forward to seeing a movie on the best poker player in the world. (was the best)

I don't think that is happening anymore, but I'm not 100% positive on that. I'll ask What A.W. Vidmer, and see if he tells me.

I never said i wasnt going to buy it. I am going to download it to see it as soon as I can. Then buy it when it comes out.

I just hope I don't have a hard time not thinking of Micahael Imperioli as "Christopher". I've watched so much god damned Sopranos, it's hard to think of him as anybody else.

that's sucks I have starz but can't record it
At least I can watch it, but I guess I'll have to wait until March for the dvd.
