Hey guys. I've been searching high and low for a place to buy plastic cards (KEM, Royal, ect) in NJ. I would settle for Royal, yes. I live near Toms River. Bob Kislin's sporting goods has Royals, sometimes, but are sold out. I need them sort of soon.
So, does anyone know of anywhere to buy Plastic cards in the Toms River area? Thanks
Did you know that participating in a poker forum can help you improve your own game? Be it by sharing experiences or simply asking for help, participation in a forum helps you focus and keep 'on topic' which will help you improve your game. You can learn from other players feedback and from their experiences. Why the THP poker forums? We offer one of the best managed texas holdem poker forums available, and the community within is far more friendly than those typicaly found on other sites. We've made a 'lurkers edition' of the poker forum available here on Holdem Poker Online, but we encourage all visitors to register and join in on the conversations on TexasHoldem-Poker.com

There used to be a place called The Game Room Store at the Freehold Mall. But I'm not certain they're still there. The only other location I know of is in the Woodbridge Mall on Rte 1. Even if you find a set, most retailers have a limited selection and you may have trouble finding exactly what you want.
KEM has a dealer locator on their site, but the result set is pretty small compared to what I would expect.
Personally, I bought my sets online. Much easier than trying to find a place that carries them.

Yep, I took your advice and went to the Game Room Store in the Freehold Raceway Mall.
I left with a 2-pack of KEM large index poker cards. It's a nice store, but you gotta be careful. The KEMs are behind a locked glass door so you can't really peruse through them at your own leisure.
It really became a game of "choose which design you like." My brother and I tried this and ended up with two packs of Pinochle cards. We obviously had to try again.
Oh, and as for my opinion....I think KEMs are nice, but I don't expect myself to buy anymore of them. Royals are just as good for my purposes.

My personal opinion on Royals after playing with some last night are they are cheap. They keep the flatness like plastic cards should and dont stay bent, but they are thin and flimsy. Also, I don't know how long my bbuddy had the cards (I don't think that long, maybe a month) and they were starting to get small bubbles on them and even one card had a crease in it.
