New Collectable Poker Proffesional Chips |

Check out these new collectable chips i came across!
the description says they are "A full 10 gram casino weight chip with a high grade texture only found in a true casino." So these are NJ Composites. More proof given; "On the edge of the chips, there is also a marble-like finish with vertical stripes at six points around the chip's perimeter."
I would love to own a set of these but im afraid that the graphics will be unbearably blurry. If you look at a NJ Composite up close or a Desert Sands, it is not very crisp. Too bad Chipco cant get involved with a set like this. I would definately pay $2 a chip for Chipco ones like this. And hopefully they can get more than 15 pros to sign off on these. A set of 100 different pros would be awesome to have and to use in my high stakes cash game.

Hey, lay off Hoyt Corkins! I like that guy, I never seen someone get under Hellmuth's skin like Corkins did in that one WPT episode.

I think those are pretty nasty! I'm thinking about getting the Phil Helmuth chip though.

Why does everyone have a nickname but David and Jennifer? Kinda strange - wonder if they actually got approval to use their likeness on the chips. I'd presume they would if it's being sold at 5Star.

That is a pretty selective bunch of players, most of the decent ones are missing. I can't see a market.......

That link doesn't work! trademarkpoker is selling the Helmuth chip for $8.99. I just want that chip! Anywhere cheaper? Trademark seems to be overpriced on EVERYTHING!

It looks like they all have the same agent. Some company called Poker

Um, yeah, those are gross.
I'm guessing they're legit... the lineup is basically Daniel and crew, plus Phil H. LOL. There's a lot of popular players notable by their absence, if they were going to steal likenesses I'm sure Moneymaker and some of the old-schoolers etc. would have been included.

they claim they are limited to 500 chips of each player. i highly doubt it though... i would get these for collectible purposes only or for a card protector. if they were chipco i might buy a whole set

I ordered one last week and it just arrived at my house today. I ordered the Hellmuth one for a card protector. It is a good quality chip, the surface has a texture similar to the Mardi Gras chips, and the edge spots are black and brownish-orange and look like the NJ Skulls.
I won the tourney tonight...so far I like it...and it got some laughs, which was my intent.

thats a smart move by oakley. u know that is probably 5x cheaper than a commercial? and every time the camera pans to phil they get exposure. compare that to a 15 second commercial. and they only have to pay when hes on tv. its not like its 10k every tournament.
