How long are re-buy's and add on's allowed?? Doesn't this just encourage people to go all in early with crappy hands??
Do you have to repay the house fee also??
Thanx

Rebuys are available for the first hour, and you have to have less than the starting amount in chips before you can rebuy. There is a single add-on at the first break which is at end of the first hour. There's no restriction for the add-on. You don't have to pay the fee again when you rebuy.
People are definitely more willing to gamble during the rebuy period; and, a lot of people rebuy as soon as they post their blind in the first orbit (assuming that drops them below their starting stack).

I've only played in a couple live tournaments, so I really can't give any advice that's worth anything. I've never done a rebuy, but I've done the add-on each time it was available.
Haven't decided about tomorrow just yet. I have a doctor's appointment early on Friday so I won't be able to stay that long if I do make the trip.
If I'm there, I'll wear the orange shirt.

Given how I played last weekend, there are lots of people echoing that sentiment, I'm sure.

they actually let you do a re-buy right off the back before the tourny starts, so you can start with double, ive seen a few people do that, others i see going all in every other hand and just rebuying, almost everyone does the add-on unless they are pretty off well stacked at the first break.

Can't comment on this particular tourney, but in rebuys in general i find that the following is useful advice.
DON'T play like a madman, just because you can rebuy doesn't mean you should. The normal rules of odds still apply.
DO rebuy if your stack hasn't grown significantly after about half the alotted time. (you will find this pays off when you double thru)
DO still play reasonably tightly. (others will play incredibly loosely, so when they move all in into your fantastic hand, you're golden)
DON'T be afraid to call an all in on a draw, that's the whole point, as long as you have a good number of outs you should go for it, after all, you can alays rebuy.
DON'T add on if you are way over chip average.
DO add on if you are way under it.

Well, I made it down to four tables in my first tournament. There were 183 players and I beleive i came in about 39.
I went out on a good hand also. I had about 8,000 in chips and about 2 minutes away from the antes being 500 and the blinds 2,000 and 4,000. I received a 10 Q suited and went all in. Somebody called me with pocket 9's and pulled another nine out on the board.
Had a great time and hope to enter more in the future.
