Playing in a multi table at UB and 1 hour and 45 minutes into the thing, I have been playing my usual tight game, and am up to 4500TC. get pocket Jacks in the button. Raise. Get reraised. Move in. Get called by BB. looking at, You gussed it, Pocket Queens. Down to 720TC. OK. Bad call. now I need to make a move. Very next hand. KJ diamonds next to the button. fold to me. move in. Small calls with, YEP, Pocket ACES! Down in flames in 2 hands. Stupid, Stupid Stupid. Ended in 38th place. ohhhhhh the stupiditiy. When will I learn?

I think after the first loss people suffer in a tourney when they've been up quite a way, they overplay subsequent cards to try and get back their chips. I'm not saying u played ur KJs badly but it just seems that every1 has the same bad luck once they take a big hit. It takes a good player to stay composed enough to rebuild his bankroll in the latter stages without making silly moves - of course u need a bit of luck too which u didn't get

Im sure that the play on the KJ was a little loose, but the blinds were going to eat me up in about 3 hands, and I wasn't sure to look at any better cards before then.

Look at my sig...doesn't that say it all? I respect aggression, in fact I love it and I TRY to practice it but on the first hand you should have been a little cautious of an overpair or overcards. Two jacks are great great cards, but I honestly think a call there would have gotten your opponent to undervalue your hand and you could see a flop! It could be 2 7 10 rainbow in which case you could figure out if your opponent has an overpair higher than yours or it could be 10 K A in which case he'd be bluffing as well basically but you could still get out alive. QQ is troublesome in SOME cases, JJ is troublesome in more cases and 10 10 is the same as JJ except more occasions. KK is great b/c only aces in the pocket straight out beats your obviously and you only have to guard against 1 card on a flop. Whew, so I think your play with JJ may have been a little TOO aggressive, especially considering the fact that you were on the button could have smooth called and lived to well live another day. Then with KJ being the shortstack, I assume you either need to go all-in or fold...you decided to play so you made the correct choice and he picked up aces. Oh well.
