I've heard alot of people talk about winning actualy money based on merit from winning with fake money. I was just wondering how you go about doing this. I know on PokerStars you can enter a lower tournament of about 6000 people and if you place top 9 you move to a higher tournament and if you place top 10 you get paid. But 10th through about 7th only get 10 dollars. Is there another way because this requires ALOT of skill and patience and i doubt i have the skill. The 6000 person one takes about six hours. Help?

Royal Vegas has a freeroll every morning at 11 a.m. Eastern that pays out to 150 places, tops $123. It's tough, however.

I have been playing those freerolls every morning and its tough. Thre are afew thousand people playing and all of them 'Since its free" just go all in every other hand. And you think...oh it would be easy to take there money....not so much. If you play tight and aggressive you get left behind and end up small stacked.....if you risk it and go all in your aking an unnessesary gamble and it doens't always go your way.
I've never placed higher then like 200th. I find its hard to crack the guys that went all in for the first 12 hands straight and have 40000 chips vs my 5000.

Yeah I find it like that on pacific too, I just got 45/575, i was in top 10 for a while then theres a set of hands and all the people double up or triple up. Is this the only way?

All freerolls are like that on any popular site. Even the best player would have trouble on those. Your odds of doing well are better than most, but still not great even if you play perfect. You're at the mercy of the cards either way. Either you play tight and wait for cards in your hand, or you gamble and hope for cards on the board. I left those behind long ago.
