It was my first time playing poker today - at a landbased casino that is - Since I've been betting poker online several times. The casino had $3/$6 blinds. I was very confused at first since the game went MUCH faster then online since the players were 'calling'...'raising' very fast...the game was quick. After a while I got used to it and finally won a few hands.
Its very 'tough to see if people are bluffing or not since most players always raise, and re-raise with GOOD HANDS...highly unlikely they would bluff - like 80% of the time the winners hands would be 2 pairs or 3 of a kind or higher (often times seing straight, full house) on the table.
I dropped a couple of hundred of dollars but learned some valueable lessons - also, getting the experience.
I definitely like betting online in the comfort of your own home, however, being at the poker table and throwing the chips down on the table is quite exciting and enjoyable.
What kind of bankroll would someone need to play in a casino w/ $3/$6
I brought $230 or so...I think I will need to bring more next time - hopefully will come in the BLACK instead of the red.
thanks for any advice (in advanced).

In regards to your bankroll question, when I play, I like to have at least 100 small bets in front of me, sometimes more, but with 100 I tend to play a better game from the beginning and play quality hands to get a feel for that table. It's easy when you go in with a large bankroll to play more average hands from the start without knowing the quality of your competition. So in a 3/6 I would have at least $300.

Some say 100x the small blind others say 50x. I think it realy depends on Table stakes. Smaller blinds i would bring more towards 100x. As some people tend to play more loose and catch cards that at higher tables wouldnt play. Also depends on wether or not your going to play tight, aggressive, loose ...etc. You just want to have enough money when you land that nut hand you have all the money you need for it.
