Of those, I'm kinda partial to the ASM Horseheads...

For mainly looks but also feel... I went with NJ Martini's

The others lost due to...
BPC MC's - the mold bothers me & I'm not crazy about the inlay

ASM's - Single edge spots

NJ's Nevads - Not crazy about the mold

GI & JB - Bluechip quality problems & not crazy about the inlay

TR King - Feel... like ASM, NJ's & BPC better

If I got to buy some it'd be a difficult decision b/n edge spots & custom inlay but custom would probably win so I'll rank 'em this way...

(1) Pokerchips.com ASM Custom

(2) NJ Martini

(3) BPC MC

(4) NJ True Clay

(5) GI

(6) JB

(7) TR King

My preference for the money is obviously custom Chipcos for the larger canvas for customizing but if Pokerchips.com had offered multicolored edge spots I would have waited & waited & waited.

I voted for the Horsehead mold. But I really like the grand island. I hear through the grape vine that better quality controll at BlueChip has ben implemented.

'Zactly. Man I'd order 2K today if they'd just relax that restriction.

Ditto! The only things I dont like about ASM is that you can't vary the edge spots and they are a bit light. I chose tr king as the top. They are perfect weight, I love their feel. Playing with the casbah's is driving me towards a custom tr king set.

Any reason why pokerchips.com not doing multicolored edge spots? They have done them in the past. Why not now?

I love my stack of TRK samples. If anyone ever wants to sell their Casbahs at a reasonable price I'd be on them like a fat lady on the toilet.

If you want Casbah's, this one is back on ebay. NOT me. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=6143896644&fromMakeTrack=true

odd denoms though.

I'll watch it, but those are odd denoms. I like his suggestions though on how to change them for different purposes.

ASM reserves the special edge spotting for Casino chips, even though they do not really get any casino orders. They also increase the brass flaking hte thier chips for casinos.

I've seen some ASM chips used by the casinos in the Carribean or even ones in South America.

They should start allowing multicolor edgespotting for home custom chips which would really open up their market since like you said they don't really get any casino orders.

I agree with you there. I would have already bought a custom set from them if they did. Until then, I'll just keep getting some more NJ's and wait to see about the new Paulsons and figure out if I want a custom set of ceramics. Decisions, decisions!

I voted for TRKing because I feel that they are most like the chips found in casinos.
