Who posts which blind in a two-handed game?

Who begins each betting round in a two-handed game?

Thanks,
Ace

The player with the button is the small blind which means he is first to act pre-flop. After that it's as normal, first to the left acts first which of course is the only other player.

Now why is that? I thought the SB was to the left of the button and the BB was the next guy. Meaning BB would be on the button. Is this to give the guy on the button the advantage of being able to fold their junk cards for cheap?

I was wondering the same thing myself. I noticed that is how PartyPoker does it. But at my home tournaments, when its down to 2 players, I have always had the big blind on the button. Does it really matter?

Ive seen this argued both ways and also played both ways. At pokerroom, where I play, the button is the big blind heads up for some reason and I don't know which other sites do it. On the WPT and the other games I've seen, the button is always the SB and first to act. That's the way I play it in my home games and all the other games I play at as well. I also made a point a while back to look at as many rules as I could find and all the ones I could find had the button SB and first to act so that's the way I do it. I'm not sure why some do it the other way but I guess as long as it's agreed upon by all players then no harm no foul.

I would have thought it would follow normal ring procedure.

SB is to the left of the dealer, BB to the lefft of the SB. Two handed, this means the dealer is the BB

Dealer is the SB, acts first pre-flop and last post flop.

Heads up, the button remains just as strong as during a normal game because of this IMHO.
