BPC Neophytes?

Posted Wed Jan 12, 2005 1:05 pm GMT by hachkc
Anybody use these chips or have any first hand experience with them?

I've got 2 samples but I'm interested in knowing what peoples experience is with them (quality, durability, stacking, etc).

I'm looking for some decent, denominated chips for cashs games as I already other 1500 chips for tournaments. I really like the Modern Clays but I can't afford to spend $700+ on the set I want at this point. The Neophytes are only I like the styling as well as the fact that they have a $2 chip; we play a lot of 1-2 and 2-4 games. Plus, there only 160 dollars with the current discount of 40%.

I have read the review on www.pokerchipreviews.com but I'm looking for more details.

Any comments.

anything from BPC is crap and is overpriced.

go to 5stardeal or thepokerchipcompany and start your searching there.
For "cheap" home clay chips, I prefer NJ clays.

While I appreciate you taking the time to reply to my message, your reply wasn't very helpful. As for your comment about "crap" and "overpriced", do you have any specific details?

I will agree that the Archetype and Modern Clays are definitely not the cheapest chips on the market but both are highly rated especially the Modern Clays.

Back to my original question, do you have any firsthand experience with the BPC Neophytes?

Not to veer of subject again, but I ordered some samples from bpc. I got same modern clays and some Archetypes. The modern clays are some of the cheapest hollowest crappiest feeling chips I have ever used, and thats including 11.5s. I love the Archetypes though, gotta love chipco

I wouldn't buy the BPC chips. I also recently received a sample of their Neophyte chip and at first I didn't think it was too bad. Then I let my daughter play with it for a while and she got some applesauce on the label. When I tried to clean it off most of the label came off with it.

I think your best bet is to go with 1003 or 1006 series chips from The Poker Company or with Pokerchips.com. You can get them hot stamped .55/chip and .65/chip respectively. Both companies sent samples to me for free. A little more expensive but a lot better chip IMHO.

I am currently designing a custom chip that I plan to order from pokerchips.com.
