And no I don't mean a pro poker player, I mean a brat. This game is so brutal sometimes. I just busted out of a SnG and I was on. I made all the right moves and only won one real pot. This hand capped it off nicely:

I guess I could have check raised the flop, but I had a feeling he was full of it (I actually put him on KJ based on his previous play with this hand and his bet preflop) and wanted to see his move on the turn. He fired the pot bet again without hesitation. I thought it out for about 10 seconds and made the correct play.
Anyway, I managed to double or triple up what little I had left, and then busted out with 99 vs AA. Shortstacked and ran into AA. That one I can take.
I was livid after though. I chewed him out a bit even though I tried my hardest not to and I know it's a stupid thing to do. It's the worst part of my game - taking beats. Then I caught myself typing "Man I played so good, how the hell am I the second..." Wow, that sounds a lot like Phil and he looks like such a fool on T.V. I don't want to be like that, but it's so difficult for me because I'm so competitive. I really understand how he feels even at my level. Can anybody relate? How do you deal with it?

Yelling out cramps your style more than the silent pain of a bad beat. Besides, if luck wasn't involved, poker would be as boring as chess (and most people -including me- would be on a constant losing streak). ,)

I don't blame him for thinking his tens were good. That's what happens when you check the flop and the turn with top pair.

Yes I think I can relate to you on that one, It has to be the worst feeling in poker, If luck wasn't involved most of these new people wouldn't even play then who would we have to prey on? I suggest you keep to your game, play the odds and you will win more times than not. I see nothing wrong with complaining about a bad beat after you played well, especially if you have 9 braclets, just don,t go overboard and don't go on tilt. Personally I would have re -raised after the flop.

You did not play that hand tight. You tried to slowplay top pair and got burned. You should have bet aggressively on the flop and turn.
