I will again be in AC this weekend. I cannot find a hotel room anywhere. Has anyone ever slept in their cars for a few hours between sessions???
Did you know that participating in a poker forum can help you improve your own game? Be it by sharing experiences or simply asking for help, participation in a forum helps you focus and keep 'on topic' which will help you improve your game. You can learn from other players feedback and from their experiences. Why the THP poker forums? We offer one of the best managed texas holdem poker forums available, and the community within is far more friendly than those typicaly found on other sites. We've made a 'lurkers edition' of the poker forum available here on Holdem Poker Online, but we encourage all visitors to register and join in on the conversations on TexasHoldem-Poker.com

HAHA, sounds like a good play. Get a truck with a cap and throw down some blankets and a pillow. Did that for a few years while on hunting trips.

If you're only planning on sleeping for 3-4 hours, why not sleep in the car?

You should try one of the cheap places on Rte 30. Look for a Days Inn in Absecon, or something like that. it's only 10-15 minutes off the island.
The rooms are probably booked in the casinos because the WSOP Circuit Tourneys are running this week. Lederer's e-mail to his mailing list mentioned he'd be playing tomorrow.

Just make sure to bring a blanket. It will get very cold this weekend. Also across from the Tropicana is cheap HoJo, RedRoof, Days Inn. Something... I can't remember (Sean can you help?). They usually will have something if it gets too cold.

usually weekend rates around the trop are 60 or so to get the cheap rates you have to go out on 30

I forgot about those flops across from the Trop. I'll go there/ It's not a problem with money, just everything is booked except the Sands, and I'd rather sleep under the boardwalk than there again.

before you book a room check with the poker desk manager, tell them youll be playing for a few hours, and ask if you can get a room with the poker rate, supposedly they have so many rooms set aside for each kinda comp for everynite, so they might have comp rooms still available at the poker rate. I forget what the weekend rate is but it should be on the website. Cause ive called to use a comp on a room but they said they had no rooms,(was free comped room in brothers name, he was going) yet when we asked for the poker rate at the desk they had rooms.

Sleep in the car, I've done it 100's of times. You can a shower at the spa at the Taj, if I remember correctly it's only like $12.

Well, sleeping in the car would be great in April, but this weekend it's supposed to be cold, windy and snowing. A room might be a good idea.
