board has 256A all clubs.
Now I have the 4 of clubs, and some1 else has the queen of clubs.
Do we split the pot because we both have an ace high flush?

Nope, you lose.
His flush is AQ652 and yours is A6542.
With flushes, you always look at the next high card for the winner.
The only time it would be a split pot is if all the board clubs were higher than each of your hole clubs. For example, the board is AK987 all clubs. You have an 4 of clubs and your opponent has a 2 of clubs. Even though your 4 beats his 2, it is split because the best hand is the AK987 flush on the board, you only use 5 cards so each of your clubs is irrelevant.
Keep in mind, the only way a pot can be split with a flush is if all 5 board cards are the same suit.

oh wow thanks guys! This is much clearer now. I think I played a couple of games where we split the pot with my friends. Oh well... Thanks everyone.
