They are the same as other 11.5 gram chips.

I previously owned a set of them and did not like them. They look alright and the quality is good, but they are plastic. The chips are very slippery and are not good for stacking. The sound also is metalic (from the insert) and really not very casino like. Fortunately in a home game (at the end) I was able to unload these suckers to someone and got my money back!

I would suggest something a little different- I recently upgraded to the NJ Composites (which by the way I love) and the price was great through Ebay.

Check those out, the price is reasonable. Other people have some great looking chips and recommendations as well. Stay clear of those plastics!

thanks everyone. But I got to admit. I lied lol. I actaully just oredered these chips and wanted to get peoples comments on them... I know hat I should have done this first. But I really couldnt find a resonable chip price with denominations for good chips. The Nevada JAcks are soo expensive. I might try to sell mine now and perhaps get better chips if you guys are saying that they are plastic. I think I remember reading somewhere that they where in act clay composite, and had a decent sound to them...

I am looking at perhaps buying regular chips and putting stickers on them as I read people are doing, but it seems that even the good "blank" chips are more expensive then the ones that I ordered. Any advice/comments?

Wow. There is so much BS in that auction it's ridiculous. Someone should report him for advertising like that! Casino's don't use ABS plastic, they use a clay composite or ceramic chip to prevent counterfeiting. Casino chips DO NOT have a metal insert unless it's a Bud Jones where the coin is visible in the center. And I've never been to a casino that had 11.5 gram chips. AT MOST they were 10-10.5 grams.

That's a decent price for that number of chips, but he jacked up the shipping costs by at least $10 to make up for it.

33 bad feedbacks in 1 month.

Quote:
2 Decks of cards - Please pay attention - we do not give you "Casino used" decks of cards for the simple reason that they are all MARKED, and unfit for playing. More then that - you don't know who touched them before...

We give you BRAND NEW Decks of cards, that you can actually use...

Two packs of bicycle cards. SWEET!

They feel great. Same as casino chips, not as plastic.

But they ARE plastic.

Ditto! I bought a set of these and also dumped them to the first guy that said "nice chips". If you stack more than 10, they are unstable and will fall over if you breathe on them too hard or if the earth rotates...

In all fairness though, $40 for 500 isn't bad. They're still better than bicycle chips. Oh wait, bicycle chips are interlocking and are more stable in stacks of 10. Smile

oh man. So what would you guys reccomend in terms of good chips to stack for around the same price. I would agree to go with chips w/o denominations on them as long as I can add stickers on them. I really dont want to pay more than I paid for these chips. Thanks.

The common scam with those chips on eBay is that they display and sometimes advertise a silk-screened image and then what you get in the mail is a set with stickers. But if you got a set for $70 (including shipping) you didn't get taken to the cleaners too bad. It's not much more than what you would pay for that set of chips elsewhere. You kind of got your money's worth, which is better than how a lot of people fare on eBay. Unfortunately, eBay is full of people looking for bargains and there are a lot of people on eBay ready to take advantage of that greed.

Your getting what you are going to get for that price.

I guess you go through the ringer first before you discover a good chips support group as found in this forum. Dude wants to sell his chips and he hasn't even recieved them yet, ouch. I remember the feeling.

If I'm not mistaken you can get the real (but not as real as the pauson fans) blue chip fan of cards on 5star right now for like 60cents each. Go this route if you want the fan chips.

I agree with the others. Auction them off immediately to the highest bidder in SUCKERVILLE!, and then cough up a few extra dollars and get some gear.

As a wise man once put it:
Friends don't let friends splash plastic chips

What an *ss. I wonder if the deal includes a reach-around.
