Okay, im gonna order my first set of chips this month but i need some help. The place im ordering from offers a set of 500 chips in a case (and some decks, and other stuff). The choice of the 500 chips colors is open and i must specify what ammount of each color i want when i order.
So im gonna be playing games of mostely 8-10 players with this set so i need some help with how many chips of each type i will need.

to answer this question, it would be helpful to know the style of game that you generaly play (cash or tournament) and the type of limits that you use (fixed holdem 1/2).

For cheap chips, I would go with the nexgens at 5stardeal. For a set of 500, don't get any more than 3 denominations.

I like to use 25, 100, and 500 chips. I start everyone with 20 green chips and 20 black chips, or 2500 chips. Blinds start at 25-50, which is 50 big bets. For larger games, when the blinds get up there, coloring up to the 500 chips will come in handy.
About the NexGens, they are the best for the price. I recently got a sample in the mail. When I first got them I didnt like them at all. The edges were sharp, and they didnt handle well. Ive been playing with them, and they have broken in a bit.

Ive allready choosen the type of chips, but i was wondering how many of each value (color) i should order. The deal says im to choose 500 chips of desired colors so i must state how many of each when i order.
Will i need 3 or 4 diffrent colors? And how many of each?
We will be nolimit tournament games, typically starting with 2000 in chips i would guess.
