College Themed Table

I finally finished my table. With the style and size due to space limitations and that it will be a piece of furniture in the house. Lynbark made the logos for the chips. What do you think?

IMHO, I like round tables (but not octagons) because its easier for people to sit and watch everyone else because you are never farther than 4'-5' away. Also, I like tables that seat 8 comfortably but can still accomodate upto 10 if necessary. This is kinda of awkward if you have a octagon table with "assigned seating".

On the other hand, its a lot easier (and cheaper) to make the rounded rectangle (Casino-style) poker table.

I like round and octagonal tables. Playing home games with 10 is just too boring to me. You ahve to play much tighter to really make money. 6-8 handed is alot more fun with friends and the conversation is way better.

I have an octagon and I bought my chips to match. I have 160 blues so everyone has 20 1$ chips.

On the subject of tables. I don't have a preference on either type. I have built 4 tables now, all in different shapes. My Oval might be my favorite because it has a raised surface with hidden lights under the rail. I have just recently built a 61" round table that turned out real nice and its only took a couple hours to do. I bought a 61" round plastic table with folding legs from Sam's club and then glued 1" foam over the top and then covered with felt. It looks fantastic and the table is great quality.

you don't have to sit 10, and only 10 ppl on an oval table, u know Laughing it's just more roomy, and you don't have to hide your cards too much, and just i think, more room is always better Laughing
