So, I just stopped by the Rio earlier today, as I'd heard they'd opened a new poker room. Not too shabby.... ten tables and a daily tournament. $40 buy in. We'll see how much more popular it becomes. They basically gutted part of the Race and Sports book and put the tables there. It's cool cause you can place a sports bet easily, and it's next to their newly renovated buffet, and next to the bar, and next to Bikinis, the club. They also have blackjack tables really close by, and I'm pretty sure it's the Blackjack tables with the dealers (female only) in bikinis. Should be exciting.
Currently, they're creating a new spot for the WSOP, though I didn't get to see that part. And, July 7 is the start of the WSOP main event.. a little bit later than last years'. Also, they have these WSOP circuit events, so they have a precursor one in Vegas also. Really interesting stuff going on here....
