Hi all,
I am new to NL Texas Hold'em. That is pretty much all I play as the people around me only play that. I am interested in getting a book to read and just looking for suggestions. I have read a few topics here regarding books, but not everyone is specific to the NL game. Since I will ONLY be playing NL Hold'em.. what book would you suggest if you were only to buy one.
I realize these answers will be bias, but hey, just looking for suggestions.
Thanks in advance,
Leif.
Did you know that participating in a poker forum can help you improve your own game? Be it by sharing experiences or simply asking for help, participation in a forum helps you focus and keep 'on topic' which will help you improve your game. You can learn from other players feedback and from their experiences. Why the THP poker forums? We offer one of the best managed texas holdem poker forums available, and the community within is far more friendly than those typicaly found on other sites. We've made a 'lurkers edition' of the poker forum available here on Holdem Poker Online, but we encourage all visitors to register and join in on the conversations on TexasHoldem-Poker.com

Ha, I did a post just like this elsewhere.
"Supersystem", Doyle Brunson. It is considered the bible of poker.

Haha.. well then I'm sorry for asking a question that has already been answered
I got a little jumpy last night, and went to amazon and bought "The Theory of Poker" and "Hold'em Poker: For Advanced Players" by David Sklansky. From the reviews I've read, these are both fairly popular titles and seem to be pretty good (again.. just from what I've read in the reviews). I'm sure I'll end up getting "the bible" in the near future as well!
Thanks for the reply.
Leif.

Oh, it's no problem I've done things similar in the past. And buying Sklanksy's books is not a bad idea at all either. They are certainly great books as well.

Yah, I had read a few good things about his books, so figured I'd gamble with them
I'lll let you all know what I think about the books once I get them!
Thanks
Leif
