Hi everybody this maybe a stupid ?, but just trying to find out what is the right answer.



if your the first to check and everyone checks except the person to the right of you bets, can you call and raise at that time or just call with no raise because you checked in the first place?

Depends how the rules are for that table. Some say no check raising and some allow it. We always allow it.

You for sure can check raise. If you hit the nutz flush on the river (esp w/ runner runner) in early position w/ 3 or more still in the hand, I would argue that a check raise is the best play.

I love to check raise from early position, especially with the nuts on the river, and especially against an agressive or semi-agressive player. If I don't like the guy this play is awesome 'cause you take an extra bet from him, and if you only do it to him and nobody else he will take it personally, try to beat you, and give you all his money.
