Howdy all,
I hate to post this without pictures, but I don’t have a digital camera, if I borrow one I will take some close ups and what not. Anyway, I got the 10 pack of samples today from buypokerchips.com. First I have to agree with everyone who suggests getting samples first, because chips in your hand look completely different than in a picture, even the outstanding pictures that pokerchipreviews offer don’t truly reflect the real thing.
I did a drop test on a couple of them after reading some of the recent posts on the idea. I was dropping them from about 4 to 5 ft onto the very rough bricks of my fireplace. After about 15 drops the only damage was some nicks in the corners. I scraped the corner of one into the center and the corners of another and was able to gouge them a bit. There was no damage to the center inlay but it did leave a little smudge of 'clay' on the inlay. As it has been stated before the biggest let down with these is the fact that the quality control of the center inlay is quite poor (not centered). In addition I used a nickel to gouge at one of the edge spots. I dug about a 16th inch into the clay but it took all my arm strength and scraping as I dug to do it. I did the same thing to the center and after 3 or 4 good jabs at it I was only able to slightly mar it so though the inlay isn’t centered it is VERY durable. All in all they seem to be very strong. I also tried to just break the thing with my hands and could do it so you be the judge...
pokerchipreviews, I would start a website to compete with you but you are doing such a great job it seems pointless...I'm jealous.

Did you know that participating in a poker forum can help you improve your own game? Be it by sharing experiences or simply asking for help, participation in a forum helps you focus and keep 'on topic' which will help you improve your game. You can learn from other players feedback and from their experiences. Why the THP poker forums? We offer one of the best managed texas holdem poker forums available, and the community within is far more friendly than those typicaly found on other sites. We've made a 'lurkers edition' of the poker forum available here on Holdem Poker Online, but we encourage all visitors to register and join in on the conversations on TexasHoldem-Poker.com
